Above is the young man Sir-K. or Cam, (Ch/Int/Lux/Bel./Ned/Ir Ch Camalot’s Faithful Knight JW ShCM (Imp)) pictured at 16 months. He has won well, including twice Best Puppy in show, less than a month after leaving Six months Quarantine! Gained his Junior Warrant and Show Certificate of Merit and a Best In Show win in 2003, and another two in 2005, one of which was in Holland. Now a Champion with 4CCs and 5RCC’s (a Luxembourg, Belgian, Dutch and FCI International Champion, also his Irish title , and Group wins and places) .

He was owned from importation by: Mrs V J McHugh, (CONRICK,) Mrs J T Maun, (BOWERHINTON,) (with whom he lives, and from 18th July 2008 to whom he belongs solely), Mrs A M A Harper, (Ravenstone,) (who sadly died in June 2008) and Ms B M Barganska, (Barbelka). .

Bred by Mari Misbeek, Camalot Elkhounds, in California, USA. Descended from Nor Ch Bella 10027/71, on whose offspring the kennel is based !

He is a proven sire, and puppies from his litters have been winning well since the end of 2003! 2006 saw the crowning of his first British champions to add to that in Australia.

Looking forward to seeing puppies from more recent litters gracing the show rings in the future, in the UK, and elsewhere., as well as his Grandchildren born since 2005.

I am Barbara Barganska. I live in Bristol, in the South West of England, with my husband Dean.

On the following pages you will meet my family of Norwegian Elkhounds. They are loved family companions first and foremost, but also show dogs.

I have now owned six female generations, ranging from the first Eskamere Yarla at Barbelka born in March 1992 down to two daughters of CH Barbelka iskrA JW (Lexi), born in Sept ‘03, sired by the male Multi Ch Camalot’s Faithful Knight JW ShCM who was owned in partnership by 3 friends, and I, and imported from Mari Misbeek’s Camalot kennel in the USA .

The older of Lexi’s daughters BARBELKA MUZYKA born Dec. 2006 was sired by FINNISH DUAL CH & SWEDISH SHOW CH ÅSTDALEN’S PEKKO who was born in Norway but lives in Finland, where we traveled in October 2006 using the ‘Pet Travel Scheme’. The younger ‘Inka’ CH BARBELKA NOWINKA JW born July 2008 is by Barbelka Laser With Seasara a son of the Norwegian Import VÆSJAN’S MARTELL.

Pictured with me on the left is Jozi (Champion Barbelka Eliksyr), after winning Second in the Hound Group at South Wales Championship show 2002.

Her daughter (Middle Left) is Lexi (CH Barbelka iskrA JW) after winning the Pup Of The Year Heat at the Southern Counties Championship show, June 2004.
